testing the abilities and knowledge of this forum......
looking to debug el8000 circuit board around the blower control section. Blower stopped working. Verified blower is functional. Examined board. No visual damage in J6 control area. Replaced Triac TRC6 on A whim...no luck. Measured J6 with black and white both at 120vac relative to ground. All fuses measured and intact. Opto coupler driving the Triac appears to respond to top side control panel. (Puts 120vac on Gate of Triac?)
questions
1. Thought blower was one speed 240vac. How does the driver produce this at J6?
2. Is there a schematic of this portion of the board that can assist?
3. Is there anyone who can explain how the control functions?
With motor connected 250vac is measured across Triac now. Across motor there is no voltage.
Triac is stuck off......need schematic to easily search further
