New Heater Tripping Breaker
Permalink

I recently installed a brand new Circ Pump, and after installation, everything ran fine for about a week, until suddenly the GFI started tripping. Based on one of your YouTube videos, I was able to determine that my heating element was causing the problem. (I unhooked the heating element power and flipped the breakers and the Circ Pump began running again.)

So, I ordered a brand new heating element (new outer tube, new sensor, and new titanium filament tubes) and just hooked it all up exactly like the old one was. I then said a quick prayer, and flipped the breaker fully expecting everything to fire up... BUT it immediately/instantly tripped the breaker.

I have checked every wire, checked my "before and after" photos to make sure everything matches, and I am at a loss. Any help or ideas where to start checking would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!
